about

Here's a track that depicts my obsession with the Southwestern US. I have always dreamed of ditching responsibility, taking route 66 out into the desert and setting up camp somewhere in Arizona. This one was written and recorded in 1994 for the original "Wind Sweeps..."

lyrics

Desert World

The arid heat is all that I can feel
The dusty plains have gotten into me
The cactus tall and mighty like a god
The world I’m in just seems to be unreal

Only wish that I could live and die in a desert world
I wish that I could be with you in a desert world
And I wish that I could fly
I wish that I could fly

The tumble weeds roll by like they’re going somewhere
The rattle snakes play along with the sounds in my head
The Life out here is like the scene’s you see when you’re tripping
The world outside just ceases to exist

Only wish that I could live and die in a desert world
I wish that I could be with you in a desert world
And I wish that I could fly
I wish that I could fly

And I wish that I could fly
I wish that I could fly
